The Girl Fight program was established in 2009, by Martial Arts enthusiast Prairie Rugilo. Her goal was to open a 2-day a week program, to personally “get back in shape”, and maybe inspire a few girls to try real Martial Arts.
Over a decade later, Girl Fight is now a full-time Martial Arts program for women & children. We’ve produced numerous Martial Artists, fighters and coaches. In 2012, Prairie became the first Muay Thai fighter to win a Title Fight at Madison Square Garden. That year she would also be inducted into the NJ Martial Arts Hall of Fame. So many amazing accomplishments have happened, just because a bunch of girls stepped outside of their comfort zone, while looking for a fun way to “get in shape”.
